Archive issues (list below) of the EPSR are
made available in the form of Rich Text Files
(.rtf)* which can be read by most word processing
programmes, including smaller and more limited
types such as Wordpad, Jarte and
equivalents**.
The back issues come in two forms
- with and without pictures. In the "no-pics"
versions these can be downloaded directly to your
hard disc ("My Documents" or other system
equivalents etc ).
The versions with pictures
constitute much larger files and therefore will
take longer to download particularly if your
computer modem connection is a slow one.
To speed download therefore back
issues with pictures are offered as ZIP files (and
the no-pic version can also be downloaded this
way). The files are compressed and you need a
"zipping" programme such as WinZip or Stuff-it on
your computer to undo them. Both are easily found
on the Internet at such download sites
aswww.CNET.com and www.ZDNet.com
(Usually free or
demonstration versions are
available.)
For downloading simply click on
the appropriate issue's link. Readers should "Save
to Disc" or whatever option the computer shows and
put them into the "documents" area usually. Files
can then be read in a normal manner.
A photo-image scan of the original
Perspectives newspaper is included in the archive,
for the time being. But it is very large and will
remain only for a limited time, available as a ZIP
file. For most original hard copies
please use the mailing address or contact us by
e-mail.
Thank you.
*RTF is a "safe" file format as
far as most viruses are concerned because it does
not support macros and other features which make
complex programmes vulnerable to attack. {We
cannot make any guarantees however about the
safety of downloads or other information accessed
from this site}.
** Some very large files such as
the Perspectives will not work in Wordpad and some
other mainly text file editors.
